If you use the Dynamic coupons regularly, it’s possible the originaly created number of codes is already used up or nearly gone. In such cases, in order to not disrupt their use in the automations, you might want to add more and new codes.
Similar to the creation of the Dynamic Coupons, you will once again need to first add the codes to your website so it will recognise them and the discount they give before adding them to the corresponding Dynamic coupon in Releva.
Preparing the Coupons #
After the same discount codes have been created and uploaded / set for use in your shop, it’s time to create the same file for use in Releva.
Requirements #
There are several requirements for the document:
- The file extension must be .txt.
- The supported encoders for the file are UTF8 or ASCII, so make sure you are using one of them when saving the file.
- There should be one promo code per line with no gaps between, at the beginning or the end.
Uploading the Coupons #
Now that the file with new fresh codes is ready, it’s time to upload. Navigate to Data Platform from the left menu and choose Dynamic coupons located at its bottom. Here, you will find your existing coupons alongside with the amount of them left in each (located on the right side of the coupon name).
In order to add more, click on the coupon name or the button Edit located on the far right side:
On the next page, we do not recommend to change the name of the coupon (as doing so will break the Merge tag of these Dynamic coupons used in the marketing channels). Instead, only select the file you would like to upload and click on the Save button.
Once done, you will be redirected back to the page with your Dynamic coupons and we remind you that the during the previous step, the file you selected is sent to our servers for processing.
When the coupons are processed and ready for use, you will receive an email similar to this:
Once you get this automatic email, this means that the new codes are added to the Dynamic Coupon of choice.
It’s important to note that the you will need to monitor the Dynamic coupons and how much are left as the system will not send you a notification that they are about to or completely used up.
