Dynamic Coupons can be extremely useful when you want to reward your userbase for some action or perhaps win them over after some period of time of inactivity from their end.
Before we proceed forward though and see how the coupons can be uploaded in Releva, these same coupons need to be created and uploaded to your shop so it will recognise them and give the correct discount.
With that important part being said, let’s jump in!
Preparing the Coupons #
After the same discount codes have been created and uploaded / set for use in your shop, it’s time to create the same file for use in Releva.
Requirements #
There are several requirements for the document:
- The file extension must be .txt.
- The supported encoders for the file are UTF8 or ASCII, so make sure you are using one of them when saving the file.
- There should be one promo code per line with no gaps between, at the beginning or the end.

Uploading the Coupons #
Now that we have the file ready, it’s time to upload it into Releva. Navigate to Data Platform from the left menu and choose Dynamic Coupons located at its bottom.
Write a name of the Coupon, making sure it’s easy to understand what these coupons will give the users. Also, please note the name can’t contain spaces and instead you can use dots or even better – undescore symbols between the words.
Then choose the .txt file you prepared and click on the Save button.

Once you do that, you will be greeted by an image similar to the one below.

Even though you see the Dynamic coupons present, they might not be ready for use just yet. On the right side of the coupon name you will see Total count: which will indicate the amount if Dynamic coupons currently available for use. Initially, the number may be zero and that’s normal as with the previous step you uploaded the file for processing to our servers.
Once the coupons are processed and ready for use, you will receive an email similar to this:

It’s important to note that the you will need to monitor the Dynamic coupons and how much are left as the system will not send you a notification that they are about to or completely used up.
