When you are ready, navigate and expand the Marketing Channels menu and select Google Ads located at the bottom:

One on the new page, click on the New Google Ad buttom located at the top-right corner:

The available options #

Down below, you can find a brief explanation of the features and what each of them brings to the table:

  1. Name – Make sure to write a descriptive name so it would be easier for you to understand the purpose of the Ad at a later date.
  2. Type – The default type will be Performance Max. In order to use Performance Max for retail, the Google Ads account must be linked to an existing Merchant Center account.
  3. Budget – This option will control what is your daily budget. Please note, this budget is not shared across all campaigns
  4. Bidding Strategy Type – Here, you can have to select the objective of the campaign itself.
  5. Target Cap (cost-per-action) – You can optionally direct Google to the preferred bidding strategy and set the target CPA for your campaign. Leave blank if unsure.
  6. Duration (Days) – Allows you to select the number of days the campaign will be active for. By default, it’s set for 7 days but you can make it longer, shorter or even Unlimited for a continuous campaign.
  7. Languages – Select the languages your customers speak. If no languages are selected, all languages will be used by default.
  8. Targeting Locations – Select the locations you want to TARGET with your Performance Max campaign. If no locations are selected, all countries and territories will be used by default.
  9. URL Expansion – Google Ads automatically expands your ad’s reach by using other relevant URLs from your domain beyond what you specify in the final URLs
  10. Conversion Goals – The campaign’s conversion goal/s. See this link for details.

Now that you’re familiar with the Google Ads options, fill in every single option and click on the Save button, located at the bottom right corner.

When that action is done, the Ad will be synced to your Google Ads account but don’t launch it just yet.
