Launching your Google Ad with Releva

4 min read

First Steps #

Before we begin, make sure to expand the Campaigns menu on the left and select One Off from the options:

On the page, click on the New Campaign button located at the top-right corner of the section.

When your new Campaign page loads, the first thing you will need to do is select Google Ad from the option of the Message section:

Detailed look #

Now that you have selected Google Ad, let’s go through the options in each tab.

Content tab #

  1. Name – This name is for Releva only so make sure to write one that will make sense to you at a later point.
  2. Campaign Tags – If you want, you can select any existing tags and this is once again only for Releva.
  3. Message – This option should already be selected as Google Ad (if you have been following this article from the beginning) so there’s no need for further actions here.
  4. Google Ad – Here, from the drop-down you can select the Google Ad itself which we will be launching while having a couple of additional options:
    1. Edit – When you select a Google Ad, by clicking this button, you will be able to make changes to it. If you do though, do not forget to Save them.
    2. New – If you have forgotten to create one or the ones already existing do not serve the purpose you want them to; you can click this button to create a brand-new Google Ad which will be automatically selected upon Saving it.

Audience #

  1. Scope – As its name suggests, you can choose the scope of the Google Ad.
  2. Segment – When it comes to the Segments, please note the drop-down will show only Google Segments created in Releva. If there are no available segments to choose from, make sure to check this article to see how to create one.

Launch Configuration #

  1. Scheduled Execution:
  • Off – By default, the options is set on Off. If you leave it like that, once you Launch the campaign the Google Ad will launch right away.

  • On – This option will allow you to launch the Google Ad in date and time in the future. For example, if you have a Google Ad for the Christmas period that’s supposed to begin on 10th December at 11AM, with this feature you would be able to create in in November and set the Lunch date for 10th December 11AM.

Asset Group Configuration #

This is how the tab will look initially, so let’s change that and select all of the options!

Select from Assets Library #

Here, you will have two options to choose from: Text Assets and Image Assets. Both tabs will have its own button so in order to load the assets from the one you choose, click on its button. Let’s cover each of the tabs and the options you have there:

Text Assets #

Upon clicking the button to load the assets, this will load around 20 of the available Text assets. If you would like to load even more, you can keep clicking the appropriate button located at the bottom of the section for even more choice:

For each of the Text assets, you will have a drop-down allowing you to choose this text for the following purposes:

  • Headline
  • Long Headline
  • Description
  • Business name

When you have found a text, you would like to use, either click on Select or choose the purpose of this text from the drop-down menu. This action will automatically mark this asset as Selected for the Campaign.

Image Assets #

Upon clicking the button to load the assets, this will load around 20 of the available Image assets. If you would like to load even more, you can keep clicking the appropriate button located at the bottom of the section for even more choice:

When you have selected your first Asset (regardless of its type), a guidance will appear at the top of the page showing you the amount and types of assets that need to be selected.

Please note, in order to successfully save the Google Ads campaign, you need to make sure you have selected the minimum required amount of Assets as per the guidance.

Final URLs #

After you have selected the minimum required amount of Assets, it’s time to move down the page and select the Final URLs.

A Final URL is the webpage that users end up on after they click on your ad.

Please note, that the final URL must match the domain verified in your Merchant Center account if the Google Ad you’re launching is a Performance Max Retail type.

Final Mobile URLs #

If you have a specially created Mobile version of your website, you may add its link in this field. Otherwise, you can write the same URL as in the previous step.

Please note, that the Final Mobile URL must match the domain verified in your Merchant Center account if the Google Ad you’re launching is a Performance Max Retail type.

When you’re done selecting and perfecting all of the options you have for the Google Ad campaign, don’t forget to click on the Save button located at the bottom right corner.

Launching the Ad #

Once you are redirected to the Campaigns page, at the top you can find your newly created Google Ad campaign. All that’s left is to click on the Launch button located on the right side of the Campaign itself.
