Deleting a user profile

Before we begin #

A time may come when for one reason or another, you’d like to delete a user profile in the Admin panel for your shop within Releva.

Let’s check together how this can be done.


First steps #

To begin with, navigate to ‘Data Platform’ and select ‘Profiles’ from its options.

What you will see is every single user account in Releva. Please note, by default only the recognised profiles (containing email and/or phone number) are being displayed.

Accessing the profile #

You can utilize the search functionality in order to find the user you want deleted, so please do so.

When you find them, click on their name or email in the ‘Profile’ column in order to open their profile within Releva.

The page that opens will be the full 360° profile on the user alongside with all interactions and data we have gathered for them. In order to proceed and delete this user, click on the red ‘Delete’ button located on the right side on the screen as shown on the image below:

Doing so will open a pop-up where you need to confirm the Deletion:

After the confirming, you will be redirected back to the same profile but this time, you’ll see a message located below the three buttons stating “Profile has been scheduled for deletion.“

Important: this action is irreversible – once an account is marked for deletion, the process can’t be stopped or the profile restored at a later point. All account deletions are GDPR compliant and no traces of the profile, its recommendation or any events performed of the user are left within our database.

Because of that, please be sure you’re deleting the correct profile before Confirming the deletion.

Important: once the profile has been deleted, please reach out to the customer and ask them to delete their cookies related to your website. If that action is skipped, our AI would once again be able to pick-up the user’s behaviour and data and store it in the Admin panel for your shop in Releva.

Deleting users in Bulk #

Such action is not possible via the Admin but if you have a big list of more than 20 users that need to be deleted, please reach out to your Client Success Manager via support@releva.ai for further assistance.
