Editing a user profile

Editing a user profile can be a great way to make sure your user’s information in Releva is as up to date as possible. If you ever need to make such changes, this can be really easy to do so let’s check the steps together.


First steps #

To begin with, navigate to ‘Data Platform’ and select ‘Profiles’ from its options.

What you will see is every single user account in Releva. Please note, by default only the recognised profiles (containing email and/or phone number) are being displayed.

Manual editing #

You can utilize the search functionality in order to find the user you want to edit, so please do so.

When you find them, click on their name or email in the ‘Profile’ column in order to open their profile within Releva.

The page that opens will be the full 360° profile on the user alongside with all interactions and data we have gathered for them. In order to proceed and delete this user, click on the purple ‘Edit’ button located on the right side on the screen as shown on the image below:

Once you have clicked the button, a new page will load containing all of the editable fields for this user. All of the options will be exactly the same as the page for creating a brand new profile with the only exception being that some of many will be already populated. Here’s a brief reminder of all of them:

First nameThe first (given) name of the user.
Last nameThe last name of the user.
EmailThe email address of the user. Required unless phone number is set.
Phone numberThe phone number of the user including country code, for ex. +12345. Required unless email is set.
Registration DateIf the user is a registered user, this should be a date in the ISO-8601 format. Leave blank otherwise.
Sbuscribe DateIf the user has given consent to receive marketing communication, this should be a date in the ISO-8601 format. Leave blank otherwise.
SubscriptionsComma-separated list of subscriptions, if you let your visitors subscribe to multiple types of communication (e.g. newsletters,promotions or email,sms). You can later use this field to build segments from your customer’s profiles.
TagsComma-separated list of tags that will help you identify this import – for ex. customer_list__01_12_21. You can later use this field to build segments from your imports.

Once you’re done and you’ve made the changes you want, click on the button Save at the bottom right corner which will redirect you on the previous page.

Bulk edit #

In order to Bulk edit users, you will have to utilize the creation and import of .csv file. If you’re not familiar how to do this, please check this article:

The most common use for Bulk editing users is to add or remove tags from certain profiles and to bulk Subscribe or Unsubscribe users.
