Adding tags to users (for the purpose of creating custom Segments), can happen both manually one user at a time or in Bulk, so let’s check both ways.
Manually adding Tags #
To begin with, navigate to ‘Data Platform’ and select ‘Profiles’ from its options.
What you will see is every single user account in Releva. Please note, by default only the recognised profiles (containing email and/or phone number) are being displayed.

You can utilize the search functionality in order to find the user you want to add tags to, so please do so.
When you find them, click on their name or email in the ‘Profile’ column in order to open their profile within Releva.
The page that opens will be the full 360° profile on the user alongside with all interactions and data we have gathered for them. In order to proceed and delete this user, click on the purple ‘Edit’ button located on the right side on the screen as shown on the image below:

Once you have clicked the button, a new page will load containing all of the editable fields for this user. The one you need is located right at the bottom.
All you have to do is click on the field and start writing the tag you want to give this user. Once you have written the tag, press Enter on your keyboard to apply the tag or click on the little drop-down that says ‘Create’ below the field.

Please note that tags are case sensitive and if you want to use a tag you have used previously, you need to enter the exact value as used before.
Adding tags in Bulk #
In order to do that and potentially save yourself a lot of time, you can utilize the user import feature. Before you do that though, do get yourself familiarized with the concept of Bulk import and how to properly prepare the file. To do that, check this article:
In order to add tags via import, all you need to do is write an email and/or phone number for users that already exist in Releva. Then, in Column H add the tags you want to add for those users. After the file is prepared and downloaded locally in .csv format, you can proceed and import it. If you don’t know how, check this article:
