In what follows we will describe the banner and recommender use cases on the Home Page.

Banners

Register

This banner serves all users of the site. It asks users to register on the website for the incentive of 10% off.

The configuration of the banner in Releva is:

The banner will open for users that haven’t registered, first-time visitors will see the banner as well (even before entering any segment).

Subscribe

The Subscribe banner invites users to subscribe for email notifications – marketing and transactional messages. It demonstrates the use of emoji and pop-up capabilities of the personalization tool in Releva.

The configuration is:

Users that have not subscribed or registered will see this banner. First-time users will also see the banner. Subscribe banner will pop up until the user subscribes but other behaviors are possible (see possible configurations in the screenshot).

Recommenders

Recommended for You collects information from the last viewed products and current cart of the user and recommends back products that are frequently bought together and viewed one after another.

Here is the config:

Recommended for You will recommend to everybody since we configured it with the Everyone segment. We also boosted it up with products from the user’s favourite category (automatically collected).

Popular products recommender is tracking popular products based on the user’s product views and purchase frequencies. We boosted again the user’s favourite category but this time we set a higher weight for this component.

Promo

Promo recommends promotional products (discounted products), returned in order by the Recommended for you algorithm. We added a filter to explicitly remove products that are not discounted (as an alternative to boost).
