Stop paying per click for customers you already have.

For retailers with a large email base and big ad budgets: every email decided per customer, and every order checked against the paid channels claiming it.

The problem

Paid channels claim the sales your email closes.

On one retailer, a buyer clicked 180 Google ads over three days and bought five minutes after an email click. Google counted the sale.

The same customers are then retargeted on paid ads, although email reaches them at no cost per click. The job to be done: make the owned channel the one that closes, and prove it order by order.

How it works

1

Every email decided per customer

Triggers instead of blasts: abandoned cart, browse and search, a price drop or a product back in stock, with products picked for each person.

2

Attribution you can check

Google and Meta click IDs captured server-side on every visit, next to every email click. Windows agreed in writing, no view-through by default.

3

Exclusion tests first

Keep your email base out of paid retargeting and branded search, measure, then decide. Prospecting stays untouched.

4

Tracked by cohort

Paid touches per purchase, direct-closed share, 90-day repeat and lifetime value for each monthly cohort.

Proof: a discount sportswear and footwear retailer

July 2026, about 35,000 orders a month. The retailer's own event and order data, on a deliberately conservative reconstruction.

4.9%of ad clickers were customers already in the email base
29%of store revenue came from those same customers
+12-14%customer value for buyers closed by email or push, against Meta
−31%credit under Releva's default windows, against the permissive standard

In one month, 17,124 customers already in the email base clicked 40,000 to 70,000 billed ads. The signals for triggers were there too: 541,772 price drops on viewed products and 75,311 back-in-stock events.
