Use case · themed rows

Your team sets the theme. The agent picks the products.

For merchandisers who run weekly themes: name the row once, and every shopper sees their own picks inside it.

  • For grocery, drugstore and household stores
  • A title and one filter per row
  • Proof from a top 5 online grocery in South East Europe

The problem

The theme is right. The products are not right for this shopper.

A themed row is usually the same for everyone. Someone picks the products by hand every week, and a shopper who never buys meat still sees the meat row.

The job to be done: keep the store's weekly themes and make each row personal.

How it works

1

The team names the theme

A title and one filter, such as a category or “on promotion”. It takes minutes, and rows rotate as often as the team likes.

2

The agent picks the products

Inside each theme, products are ranked for each shopper from what they recently viewed, added to their cart and searched.

3

Few rules

Available products, the shopper's language and the theme. No manual boosts.

Per click, themed rows sold nearly as well as category pages, 14.8 against 15.8 orders per 100 clicks, and almost three times as well as product pages.
