Klaviyo alternatives

Looking for a Klaviyo alternative? Start with the job.

Most lists swap one email tool for another. The gap in most stores is not email. It is the 9 in 10 visitors who never gave an address, and the products each message picks.

In short

Klaviyo calls itself "the autonomous B2C CRM" and runs email, SMS, WhatsApp and mobile push, with product feeds, predictions, holdout groups and ad audiences. It prices by active profiles, with SMS, Reviews, the data platform, Customer Hub and Service as add-ons, per its pricing page.

Stores that look for an alternative usually want one of three things: a lower bill at their list size, a tool for their market and platform, or something that sells to visitors email cannot reach. Omnisend, Yespo, Bloomreach, Insider One, MoEngage and ContactPigeon do the same job on a different bill, each priced on a different unit, and the table below says which. A sales agent does a different job: it sells on the site and in the app, to the visitors no email reaches, and runs next to Klaviyo.

If the third one is you, the cheapest move is not a migration. Keep Klaviyo for what it does well and add a sales agent that works on your site for every visitor, then move one flow and compare the orders. Before you move anything, check your flows, your deliverability history, your platform and your market's channels.

Why stores look for an alternative

The bill grows with the list, not with the sales. Klaviyo bills by active profiles, with separate prices for SMS, Reviews, the Customer Hub, the data platform and the service desk (its pricing page, October 2026). Every address you import raises the price, whether it buys or not.

It sees the shoppers it knows. Klaviyo's on-site personalization centers on identified visitors, and we found no site search product on its site (our comparison, checked 29 September 2026). Most of a store's visitors are anonymous: email reaches under 1 in 10 of them, per the public data on why one agent.

Your market may not be its market. Klaviyo's pricing calculator lists no SMS price for Bulgaria, Romania or Greece (its pricing page, September 2026), and Viber, the channel shoppers in those countries read, is not a Klaviyo channel. Gomag, MerchantPro and CloudCart stores need a tool that connects to them.

The option most lists miss: keep Klaviyo, add the agent

A womenswear brand on Shopify moved one flow, abandoned browse, from Klaviyo to Releva and added recommendations on its site. Same flow, same store, no added discounts. The flow reached 3 times the shoppers on the same trigger and earned 9.4 times the revenue in a matched month, and in a controlled A/B test the agent's emails earned 96% more revenue per recipient than a copy of Klaviyo's logic. The numbers and the method are in the case study.

The reason is not better email. The agent starts at the first interaction, so it knows shoppers Klaviyo never identified, and it picks the products in each message from what that person did on the site. Klaviyo keeps sending your newsletters; the agent takes the visitors.

Seven things to check before you move

1. Your flows. List the flows that earn: abandoned cart, browse, welcome, win-back. Any alternative must run them on day one, and the products in them should change per person.

2. Anonymous visitors. Ask what the tool does for a visitor without an email. If the answer is a pop-up, you have the same gap.

3. Proof. Attributed revenue flatters every channel. Ask for a holdout group and for orders counted once.

4. Deliverability. Your sending history moves with your domain, not your tool, if you warm it up. Plan two weeks.

5. Your platform. Shopify is everywhere; Gomag, MerchantPro, CloudCart, CS-Cart and custom stores are not. Check the go-live time for yours.

6. Your channels. Viber in Bulgaria and Greece, WhatsApp in Southeast Asia, web push for visitors who never subscribe.

7. The bill in a year. Price by the number that grows with sales, not with the list.
